Senior Mobile Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for experienced mobile software engineers to help train next-generation AI systems through challenging, real-world mobile engineering tasks.
You’ll create Reinforcement Learning Environments that evaluate an AI model’s ability to solve complex mobile software engineering problems, including debugging, feature development, code refactoring, and performance optimisation.
For each task, you’ll create a reproducible environment, develop deterministic verifiers, and provide a reference solution demonstrating how the problem can be solved.
No prior AI experience is specified as a requirement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Create realistic, challenging mobile coding tasks for frontier AI models using repositories relevant to your expertise.
• Design problems involving subtle bugs, non-trivial feature development, application state and lifecycle, and performance optimisation.
• Develop mobile engineering tasks across relevant technology tracks, including:
• Cross-platform applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, or Dart.
• iOS applications using Swift.
• Android applications using Kotlin.
• Define the problem requirements for each task.
• Build a reproducible environment for each coding challenge.
• Develop deterministic verifiers that accept correct solutions across different valid implementations.
• Ensure verifiers reject incorrect, incomplete, or hard-coded approaches.
• Create a reference solution showing how each task can be solved.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Significant hands-on expertise in at least one mobile development track.
• Strong experience with mobile application development and engineering practices.
• Ability to debug complex mobile applications and identify underlying issues.
• Experience resolving software bugs and implementing effective performance improvements.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture.
• Strong understanding of application state management.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• Strong understanding of mobile application lifecycle concepts.
MOBILE DEVELOPMENT TRACKS
Cross-Platform
• TypeScript or JavaScript with React Native.
• Dart with Flutter.
iOS
• Swift with SwiftUI or UIKit.
Android
• Kotlin with Jetpack Compose or the Android View system.
COMPENSATION
Annualized Equivalent: $104,000–$208,000/year based on 40 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $50–$100/hour
Compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the applicable project specifications. The time required to complete tasks may vary depending on experience and workflow. Minimum weekly submission requirements apply and will be communicated during onboarding.
The annualized figure is an hourly-equivalent reference. Actual compensation is based on qualifying task output.

Roles are typically filled within 48 hours.
Selected candidates should be ready to begin quickly and are expected to start their first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
