Frequently asked questions
Everything about how FreshTalent JobCopilot finds, matches and applies to jobs for African professionals — plus pricing, privacy and feature specifics.
What is FreshTalent JobCopilot?
FreshTalent JobCopilot is an AI job search platform for African professionals. It finds and scores matching jobs worldwide, automatically applies with tailored CVs and cover letters, checks your resume against applicant tracking systems, coaches you through interviews and tracks every application in one dashboard.
Is FreshTalent JobCopilot free?
Yes. The Free plan includes AI job search, match scores, the application tracker, resume builder and daily alerts with no credit card required. Paid plans add automatic applications, unlimited ATS scans, cover letters, interview preparation and salary insights.
How does automatic job application work?
You set your rules — target titles, salary floor, locations and exclusions. JobCopilot then completes application forms with your real profile information, attaches the best-matching CV variant and a tailored cover letter, submits, and logs the application in your tracker. You can require manual approval for every submission.
Which countries does it support?
Professionals in all 54 African countries can use JobCopilot, and it matches roles in more than 150 countries including global-remote employers, EU and UK sponsorship roles, Gulf employers and North American remote companies.
Will recruiters know my application was automated?
Applications are submitted from you, with your real details and role-specific documents. There is no bulk-blast footprint, and quality is closer to a carefully tailored manual application than a copy-paste one.
How long until I see interviews?
Most active users see their first responses within seven to fourteen days of switching on automatic applications, assuming an ATS score above 85 and a realistic target band. Diagnosing early is the point of the funnel dashboard.
Is my data safe?
Your CV and profile are encrypted, never sold, and used only to match and apply on your behalf. You can export or delete everything at any time.
Does it help with remote jobs specifically?
Yes. Global-remote eligibility, time-zone overlap and payment method are first-class filters, which is essential when you are applying from Africa to employers in Europe, North America and the Gulf.
Can I use it for relocation and visa-sponsored roles?
Yes. Elite plans include sponsorship and relocation filters so you only see employers with a track record of sponsoring candidates from your country.
How is this different from JobCopilot.ai, Teal or Simplify?
Those tools are built primarily for candidates in the US and Europe. FreshTalent JobCopilot combines automated applications with African-specific context: sponsorship filters, currency and payment realities, local CV conventions, time-zone matching and salary benchmarks that stop you from anchoring low.
How much does FreshTalent JobCopilot cost in Africa?
In Kenya, Premium is KSh549 per week or KSh1,690 per month and Elite KSh749 per week or KSh1,990 per month. In Nigeria, Premium is ₦7,000 weekly or ₦21,000 monthly and Elite ₦9,000 / ₦27,000. South Africa is R79 weekly or R299 monthly for Premium and R119 / R399 for Elite, Ghana is $3.99 / $12.99 and $5.49 / $15.99, and the Rest of Africa tier is $5.90 weekly or $19.90 monthly for Premium and $7.90 / $24.90 for Elite.
What is the cheapest paid plan?
Basic starts at KSh229 per week in Kenya, ₦2,900 in Nigeria, R39 in South Africa, $1.79 in Ghana and $2.90 on the Rest of Africa tier. It includes up to 5 automatic applications per day, one Copilot, the application tracker and AI career tools.
What is Career Intelligence?
Career Intelligence is a yearly plan with the full AI career toolkit — resume builder, cover letters, mock interviews and offer negotiation — without automated applications. It is KSh1,690 in Kenya, ₦21,000 in Nigeria, R299 in South Africa, $12.99 in Ghana and $14.90 on the Rest of Africa tier.
Can I pay weekly instead of monthly?
Yes. Every automation plan can be billed weekly, which suits short, intense search sprints — most users run Premium weekly for four to six weeks while interviewing. Quarterly billing is available in South Africa and on the Rest of Africa tier.
Which payment methods work from Africa?
Local cards, international Visa and Mastercard, and local currency billing in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. Prices are charged in the currency shown for your region.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Plans are cancellable at any time from your dashboard, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are unsatisfied, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
How is this different from a job board?
A job board shows you everything and lets you sort. JobCopilot builds a personal index of roles that match your profile and removes the rest, then keeps that index fresh every day.
Does it include remote jobs open to Africa?
Yes. Global-remote eligibility is a first-class filter, so you only see employers who genuinely hire from your country.
What match score is worth applying to?
As a rule of thumb, apply confidently above 80%, apply with a tailored cover letter between 65% and 80%, and treat anything under 60% as a stretch application.
Is automated applying allowed?
JobCopilot submits genuine applications from you, with your real information, one at a time — it does not spam or fabricate credentials. You stay in control of the rules and can require manual approval.
Can I review before anything is sent?
Yes. Review mode queues each application for a one-tap approval, so nothing leaves your account without you.
Should my CV be one page or two?
Two pages is standard for professionals with more than five years of experience across most global employers. One page is safer for early-career applicants and US-style applications.
Should I add a photo?
Avoid photos for US, UK and most global-remote applications. They are still common in parts of Europe, the Gulf and some African markets — JobCopilot generates the right variant per market.
What is a good ATS score?
Aim for 85 or higher against the specific job description you are targeting. Below 70, keyword coverage or formatting is usually the blocker.
Do I need to repeat keywords?
No. Use each critical term naturally once or twice in context. Keyword stuffing is detectable by recruiters and does not improve modern ATS ranking.
Do recruiters still read cover letters?
For competitive global-remote roles, yes — especially when the hiring manager is deciding between similar CVs. Keep it under 250 words and make every sentence specific.
How should I answer 'tell me about yourself'?
Use 90 seconds: one line on who you are professionally, two or three achievements relevant to this role, then why this company now.
Should I share my current salary?
Redirect to your expectation for the role and market rather than your local history. Anchor on the value of the role, not your last payslip.
When should I follow up?
Five to seven working days after applying, then once more a week later. After an interview, thank the panel within 24 hours.
What is a normal response rate?
Five to ten percent is typical for cold applications. Above fifteen percent usually means strong targeting and a well-optimised CV.
Which sites does it support?
It works across common applicant tracking systems and company career pages, plus the major global job boards.
Can I get alerts on mobile data only?
Yes. The digest format is lightweight and designed for low-bandwidth mobile connections.
