About the Role
Apply your transactional legal expertise to the development and evaluation of advanced legal AI systems.
This part-time opportunity is designed for early-career attorneys with foundational experience in transactional work, particularly contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining within technology-related environments. You will help evaluate how AI systems interpret contract language, identify risks, and apply legal reasoning to realistic contract scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
Review and assess AI-generated responses to contract scenarios.
Provide precise, actionable feedback to improve model performance and legal output.
Apply objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria consistently when assessing AI performance.
Evaluate contract-related outputs for accuracy, precision, and appropriate legal reasoning.
Collaborate with product and research teams to refine evaluation data, guidelines, and best practices.
Contribute practical transactional legal expertise to AI-driven contract review workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
1–3 years of transactional legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
Experience working with commercial agreements, particularly Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
Experience with contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining.
Strong analytical and legal reasoning skills.
Ability to translate legal knowledge into clear, actionable feedback.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and consistency.
Demonstrated interest in innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
Ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to AI, legal technology, or AI training/evaluation initiatives.
Corporate law firm experience, particularly exposure to M&A or fund formation.
