About this role

This is a remote Design Engineer V contract open to candidates across Africa. You will work asynchronously with international teams on software & engineering projects, choosing your own hours and invoicing in USD. Requirements

• Proven experience as a design engineer v or in a closely related role
• Professional written English and reliable async communication
• A laptop and stable internet in Mozambique (GMT+2)
• A USD payout method such as Payoneer, Wise or a domiciliary account

Pay and what it means in Mozambique

At $100–$135 per hour, twenty billable hours a week works out to roughly $8,000–$10,800 per month — well above the Mozambique mid-level local band of $800–$2,500 per month. Payment is made in USD, so your earnings are insulated from MZN volatility.
